টেকনোলজিতে (বিইউবিটি) সম্প্রতি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে ‘ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ:
তারুণ্যের ভূমিকা’ শীর্ষক এক সেমিনার। বিইউবিটির কম্পিউটার বিজ্ঞান এবং
প্রকৌশল বিভাগ আয়োজিত এই সেমিনারে প্রধান বক্তা ছিলেন শাহজালাল বিজ্ঞান ও
প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক মুহম্মদ জাফর ইকবাল। এতে তিনি বলেন,
কায়িক পরিশ্রমের দিন শেষ। আমাদের মানসিক পরিশ্রমের মাধ্যমে তথ্যপ্রযুক্তিকে
কাজে লাগিয়ে দেশের উন্নয়ন করতে হবে। আজকের তরুণেরাই ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ গড়ার
অন্যতম কারিগর।
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টির উপাচার্য মো. আবু সালেহর সভাপতিত্বে এতে
বক্তব্য দেন বিইউবিটি ট্রাস্টের সদস্য অধ্যাপক শফিক আহমেদ সিদ্দিক। তিনি
নতুন প্রজন্মকে তথ্যপ্রযুক্তির সঠিক ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে উন্নত জীবন গড়ার
আহ্বান জানান।
